Battles are played across multiple rounds with points scored for each round based on the quality of the hands. Gameplay Battle Poker is played on a 5 x 5 board against the clock and CPU. The gameplay is all about making the best hands possible with the cards available. Battle Poker uses the traditional hand ranking used in poker to determine the hand value for all games in which Hand-Rated scoring is used. A hand is determined by the best possible combination using (up to) five cards. In the “Chain Reaction” game mode it is possible to choose less than five cards, and in those cases, Battle Poker will still score the best possible hand with the cards available. Players can optionally set different time limits or remove the time limit all together. The difficulty of the CPU opponent can also be selected from Easy, Medium or Hard. Players can also choose to save a board that they have played so that they can come back to it and try and beat the CPU score.
